Forum was an evolution of a Moonshot project a couple of collegues and I started working on. The idea was to provide remote voice translation during Covid, that way you could expand your network and collaborate globally in a cost efective way. We saw many companies charging somewher between $200 to $600 USD for 1 hour of interpretation, and although that might be doable for a big corporation, for entrepreneurs, freelancers, and most of the gig economy it was simply out of reach. 

first concept ideation, it was a full prototype in figma where the animation was done word by word to simulate the flow, a massive document with more transitions than a train station, but it worked, it sold the idea!!

our original icon. The marketing responsible decided later on it was best to rebrand the project as Forum rather than Audience, because it didn't convey the fact that you could have an ongoing dialog.

The first screen is the only screen that didn't suffer dramatic changes since it's inception.

This proofs of concept helped us to get early feedback from users and validate compression, codecs, and accuracy.
